Tianjin Key Laboratory of Standard Reference Materials and Stable Isotope Labeling Technology has been approved for establishment

At the end of 2022, the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Standard Reference Materials and Stable Isotope Labeling Technology was approved for establishment. The key laboratory relies on Tianjin Alta Technology Co., Ltd., with Alta technology team and its domestically advanced R&D platform, analysis and testing platform, and standard substance preparation platform as the core, jointly established with Nankai University and Hebei University, which have strong talent reserves. Dr. Zhang Lei, founder, chairman, and chief technology officer of Alta Technology, is appointed as the director of the key laboratory. The key laboratory has hired 11 well-known experts and professors in the fields of analysis, testing, and reference materials from both domestic and foreign sources as members of the academic committee. Academician Pang Guofang from the Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine Sciences serves as the chairman of the academic committee, and Researcher Li Hongmei from the Chinese Academy of Metrology serves as the vice chairman, in order to grasp the direction for the establishment of research projects and the development of the key laboratory.

The key laboratory will adhere to the principle of "facing the forefront of world standard products, facing major national needs, and facing people's life and health", and deeply cultivate organic standard substances in the fields of food safety testing, environmental safety monitoring, pharmaceutical research and development, clinical testing, stable isotope labeling, etc. Through structural design synthesis and separation purification, analytical method development and quality control, and top-level production design, it will carry out research on the application technology of standard substances and stable isotope labeled compounds throughout the entire industry chain. Alta Technology will ensure the operation and R&D investment of key laboratories in accordance with the management system of key laboratories, create a technological highland for standard substances and stable isotope labeled compounds, strengthen industry university research cooperation with research institutions through the establishment of internal R&D projects and open projects, increase the development of national standard substances, accelerate the localization process of standard substances, avoid the risk of standard substances being "choked", and ensure the sustainable development of China's social economy.
